Payments Expertise, trading as The Football Experiment ("we", "us"), operates thefootballexperiment.co.uk and sells digital ebooks. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What we collect

• Email address — collected by Stripe at checkout and used to deliver your ebook and receipt.
• Order details — what you bought, when, and how much you paid. We never see or store your card details; payment is handled entirely by Stripe.
• Marketing attribution — if you arrived via a link with campaign parameters (e.g. from a TikTok video), we record those parameters so we know which videos work. This contains no personal information.
• Anonymous usage events — page views and buy-button clicks. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or store IP addresses for analytics.

What we do with it

• Deliver your ebook and provide customer support (legal basis: performing our contract with you).
• Meet our tax and accounting obligations (legal basis: legal obligation).
• Understand which content brings readers to the site (legal basis: legitimate interest).

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or send marketing emails you haven't asked for.

Who processes your data

• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/gb/privacy).
• Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com/legal/privacy-policy).
• Hosting provider — serves this website and stores order delivery logs.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for up to 6 years to satisfy UK tax law. Support correspondence is kept for up to 12 months. Anonymous event logs are kept for up to 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, or to receive a copy of it. Email books@thefootballexperiment.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

This site does not set cookies for analytics or advertising. Stripe's checkout pages may set cookies required for fraud prevention and payment processing — see Stripe's own policy.
