Digital products — UK consumer rights explained plainly

The short version

Our ebooks are digital downloads supplied immediately. At checkout you consent to immediate supply, which means the statutory 14-day "cooling off" right is lost once your download begins. But if something is wrong with the product itself, you are protected — and we'll always try to help either way.

When you're entitled to a refund or fix

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. You can ask us to repair or replace it — and a refund where that isn't possible — if, for example:

• The ebook file is corrupted or won't open.
• The download link doesn't work and we can't get you a working one.
• The content is materially different from what was described.
• You were charged but never received any way to download the ebook.

When refunds aren't automatic

• You changed your mind after downloading.
• You bought it by accident — though email us anyway; for a £1.99 item we can often help.
• Technical problems on your own device unrelated to the file.

Download problems

If your link doesn't arrive or stops working, that's not a refund situation — it's our job to fix it. Email books@thefootballexperiment.co.uk from (or quoting) the address you used at checkout and we'll resend your download link.

How to request a refund

Email books@thefootballexperiment.co.uk with the email address used at checkout and a sentence about what went wrong. Refunds are returned through Stripe to your original payment method, normally within 5–10 working days of approval.
